The Department of Planning and Development (DPD) has called a meeting to initiate the public process to designate a new TIF district for the purposes of funding community improvements in the North Branch area. A letter was recently sent to impacted residents and stakeholders, announcing the meeting. You can read the letter by clicking here. SNA requested to be included on the list of announcements however we did not receive an announcement of this meeting.
Among the improvements anticipated for the proposed Cortland/Chicago River TIF District are transportation, public infrastructure and open space. For more information on TIFs go here.
