St. Jams to kick off 2008 Trebes Park series
Blasting out of the Sheffield neighborhood, St. Jams has quickly established itself as a favorite local band. St. Jams will perform at Trebes Park on Thursday, June 19, from 6:30 pm until dusk. St. Jams consists of four acoustic guitar players and a drummer, who perform an eclectic mix of rock, folk and blues songs. St. Jams donates its time and talent to provide entertainment for several not-for-profit organizations, and when they are invited to a paying gig, they donate the proceeds to the St. James Educational Foundation, which provides tuition assistance to many students in the area.
This event will kick off the 2008 Trebes Park Concert and Movie Series, sponsored by the Sheffield Neighborhood Association and the Chicago Park District. The second event on Thursday, August 21, from 7:30 to 10 pm, will be a showing of the film “Bee Movie.” Bring your picnic baskets and blankets to enjoy the sounds of talented local musicians and the viewing of a great movie. Please join us for the Trebes Park Concert and Movie Series and enjoy the summer under the stars with your neighbors.
