BEAUTIFICATION

The Association’s Award-Winning Beautification program includes planting 225 trees, installation and maintenance of 150 surface planters and hanging baskets, and hanging 125 colorful Sheffield street banners identifying Sheffield as the “Garden District of Chicago.” Garden Walk proceeds fund the program.

PARKS

Garden Walk proceeds also fund upgrades and maintenance in Sheffield's two parks, Trebes and Clover.  Trebes Park is located next to Oscar Mayer Elementary School on Webster between Clifton and Racine.  Clover is located on the west side of Southport, north of Webster.  Improvements to Trebes include the corner Gazebo, the play lot, and new planting beds in 2005 and 2007. In late 2007 more than 500 bulbs were planted in Clover with the help of St. Josaphat 8th graders.
