New Festival. Same Weekend. Same Location. New Fresh Gardens in 2019

Planning is underway for this year’s 51st Annual Sheffield Street Festival and Garden Walkto be held the weekend of July 19, 20 and 21. We are hoping that our Sheffield neighbors will support this annual  event and display their gardens.  This event has affected the gentrification and growth of our fabulous neighborhood. Since then, the proceeds from this festival have been reinvested in the Sheffield neighborhood helping our schools, parks, beautification and other social service organizations. Additionally, the proceeds also have supported the efforts of the Sheffield Neighborhood Association through its work in planning and zoning, community safety, concerts and movies in the park, the Sheffield Neighborhood News publication, schools and many other neighborhood activities and  its continuing interaction with the Aldermen that serve our neighborhood.

There are many beautiful gardens in Sheffield and it is very important  to show off and support the Sheffield neighborhood and why it is a great place to liveIf you are a prior exhibitor or are planning to show off your garden for the first time, we would enjoy having your participation.

The last 2 years have not been kind to our festival and garden walk. Weather and competition have hurt our festival as well as a lack of interest from the many beautiful gardens in Sheffield. As a result, SNA has not been able to donate money as in previous years.  PLEASE  consider showing your garden to the visitors inside and outside our neighborhood.

You can display all or either the front, back, side or any part of your garden. You can be a multi-unit building or single family home. It is not necessary to be home,  however it would be nice for you to visit with the garden guests. The variety of garden settings that people create and share are part of what makes this neighborhood so attractive. It is free and easy to be part of the Festival.

The net proceeds from this event are used for beautification, publication of the “Sheffield Neighborhood News” and contributions to our parks, schools and neighborhood charities and social service organizations.

Please take a minute now to include your garden by completing  the enclosed registration form or on-line at sheffieldgardenwalk.com.

THE DEADLINE FOR ENTERING IS JUNE 20.

If you need help with your description or with ideas for your garden, please contact us here

We are pleased to announce that this year’s sponsor for the garden exhibitors is Jennifer Mills Klatt and the Home Discovery Team at Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty.

The gardens will be open for visitors from noon to 5:30 PM both Saturday and SundayDuring the week of  the Garden Walk you will receive a garden walk poster for display in your window, a free guidebook and garden number signs.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING EVERYONE SUPPORTING OUR NEIGHBORHOOD BY SHOWING THEIR GARDEN!
