2573-2581 N Lincoln Ave Special Use Permit: Marijuana Dispensary

On Thursday, June 1st, 2023 there will be an in-person community meeting hosted by Marigrow, Inc., dba UMI, the applicant seeking a special use permit for a cannabis dispensary at the former Salt n' Pepper Diner location at 2573-81 N Lincoln Avenue. This special use permit is legally required to establish a cannabis dispensary at the location.

The applicant is an established Social Equity applicant who has operated the Nature's Care dispensary at 810 W Randolph in the West Loop since 2020. Beginning in 2021, the applicant has engaged in discussions with the Alderman's office, the 19th District of CPD, the Wrightwood Neighbors Association, and the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, in October 2022 the applicant held a previous community meeting for a Zoning Map amendment. This prior community engagement and feedback will result in the presentation that will be made at this meeting. This meeting will be held in person.

The meeting will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Apollo Theatre in their mainstage theatre. The Apollo Theater is located at 2550 N Lincoln Ave.
